Super Feed Sorter: Sort Instagram Reels by Views & Engagement privacy policy

Super Feed Sorter privacy policy
Prepared 2 November 2026 from the current 5.6.0 source. Developer: SuperMedia. Contact: verbalike@gmail.com. Website: https://supermedia.space.
Super Feed Sorter reads Instagram content available to your browser to sort posts, compare engagement, display insights, save posts and export spreadsheets. This policy covers the extension. SuperMedia's website and any cloud processing you choose there are separate service interactions described below. The extension is independent of Instagram and Meta.
Instagram content and local storage
The extension reads Instagram responses and may request missing post details from Instagram. Records can include post IDs and URLs, creator handles, captions, timestamps, thumbnails, counts, media details and computed statistics. Sorting, insights, spreadsheet generation and saved folders run in the browser. Saved profiles, saved-post folders, settings, locally available transcripts, review-prompt state and analyzed-post counters use Chrome local storage. Saved profiles are limited to 30; this is not a retention limit for saved folders. Download tracking IDs are also stored locally until completion or interruption is reported.
The extension keeps temporary post handoffs in Chrome session storage, bound to a SuperMedia Save tab. Handoffs expire after an hour when accessed or cleaned up, and at most 60 entries are retained. Media-byte buffers are temporary and expire after five minutes. These limits describe the code's local cleanup behavior, not a guarantee that a browser shutdown or interruption always runs a cleanup callback.
Use Settings → Delete saved profiles for captured profiles and the Saved view's folder/post controls for saved items. These controls do not promise to delete all settings, diagnostic IDs, cloud records or downloaded files. Removing the extension removes its Chrome-managed local data; files you exported or downloaded remain where you saved them.
Usage and error reports
“Share usage & error reports” is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings. The extension sends an event ID, a randomly generated installation ID, product identifier, extension version, an allowed event and operation, and an allowed error code for error events to https://supermedia.space/api/telemetry. The event list includes installation, first action, first success, premium/upgrade attempts and errors. These report payloads do not contain the collected captions, creator handles, post URLs or media. Network requests necessarily reveal connection metadata to the recipient. If signed in, a bearer token may accompany a report, so reports can be associated with the account. Failed events queue locally (at most 100) and expire after seven days. Turning reporting off clears that queue and omits the installation ID from the configured uninstall link. It does not retroactively delete reports already received by SuperMedia.
Installation and removal pages
On first installation the extension opens a SuperMedia welcome URL with its installation ID and extension ID. The SuperMedia uninstall URL includes the installation ID while diagnostics are enabled, and omits it when diagnostics are disabled. These current SuperMedia lifecycle pages must not be described as anonymous or unlinked. The source does not establish the server's retention schedule. The extension currently does not open ExtensionTower welcome/uninstall pages; hosting this policy on ExtensionTower does not change those runtime links.
Downloads and SuperMedia Save
Download and Transcribe actions open selected Instagram post URLs on https://supermedia.space/save. The address itself includes the chosen post URL. A content bridge on that website can receive the chosen post's metadata (such as author, caption, statistics and media addresses), download status and, when requested, chunks of media bytes from the extension. Instagram media is fetched from cdninstagram.com or fbcdn.net hosts and files are saved through Chrome Downloads. Sending data to the website's page is a disclosure to that website even when processing remains in the browser. This is not a claim that nothing leaves the device or that only a Reel URL is disclosed. SuperMedia's own terms, privacy policy and applicable account limits govern website features you use.
Account and optional transcription
If you sign in, the extension exchanges a one-time code, PKCE verifier, extension ID, installation ID and product source with SuperMedia's token endpoint. A device token, account email and session identifier are stored locally. Signing out attempts to revoke the device session, then removes the local account and active-job state.
The current Download/Transcribe controls hand work to the SuperMedia website. Source also includes an authenticated transcription helper that extracts audio locally, requests a job from SuperMedia, uploads audio to private Vercel Blob storage, starts the server job and reads its result. Transcription is therefore not described as URL-only or wholly local. When you choose such processing, SuperMedia and its transcription/storage providers can process the submitted audio and account/job metadata. This checkout does not establish the website's current subprocessors, deletion schedule or cloud-retention guarantees. Consult that service's policy or contact the developer for those details; no zero-retention promise is made here.
Permissions and recipients
The manifest requests storage, unlimitedStorage, sidePanel and downloads. Host access covers www.instagram.com, Instagram/Facebook media CDN subdomains, supermedia.space and vercel.com. SuperMedia access is required in the current manifest, not optional. No active direct vercel.com request was identified in the source read for this policy; permission alone is not evidence of transmission to that host. Code-based recipients are Instagram/media CDN hosts, the SuperMedia website/API and private Vercel Blob upload infrastructure for the transcription helper. SuperMedia receives both usage reports and explicit website handoffs for the purposes described above. No sale of user data is implemented in this extension.
Choices, requests and changes
Disable usage/error reports in Settings, sign out when finished, remove saved profiles or folder items, and delete downloaded/exported files separately. For access or deletion requests concerning SuperMedia-held account, diagnostic or transcription data, contact verbalike@gmail.com. Do not email passwords or device tokens. This source review does not verify server-side deletion or runtime behavior. Changes to the policy should carry a new date. Translations of the store listing and images have not been reviewed by native speakers; this policy is English.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
